[affiliatelinks] I’m doing Friday Treat on a Wednesday because I’m away both Wednesday and Thursday and am concerned that these will sell out before Friday. I’m not joking! I bought a pair of these about three or four years ago from M&S and they were my best ever non-denim jeans. Even though I subsequently bought a second pair I wore them (both) into the ground and to my horror, when I went to replace them I discovered that they’d been discontinued. I made do with a pair from Mango but they were never quite as brilliant as the M&S ones. So, my absolute delight is…. they’re back!

Marks & Spencer High Waist Coated Skinny Jeans

Personally, I dressed them down more often than up – they’re just ideal with chunky sweaters and a woolly coat (I have a chunky cream cable sweater on its last legs so I’m looking for a replacement) or with white t-shirts and a big grey cardigan – even a plain white shirt is going to look stylish with them. They’re great with trainers or boots. M&S have dressed them with black heels which wouldn’t be my look but does show that if you’ve got a nice shirt and some flashy heels, they’re great for that too.

Marks & Spencer High Waist Coated Skinny Jeans

Size wise, I find them true to size (they’re stretchy) and the range goes from size 6 to 24 in theory although each end of the size range is quickly selling out already. Available in Short, Regular and Long, the best thing is the high waist – it’s like wearing Spanx without the hideous discomfort because it just flattens things out slightly so you look curvy in a smooth way. I think these are the easiest non-jean jeans you’ll ever wear – and there’s nothing they don’t go with – and they’re fab on any size or age. They’re as near to a confidence secret weapon I have – I always feel ‘right’ in them. So, I have two pairs on order and can’t think I’ll be wearing anything else on my legs for the foreseeable future. Oh, I say the best thing about them is the high waist – actually, it’s the price which is £19.50 HERE.
