[affiliate/ad] When I posted the picture above designed to illustrate my boots, several people asked me about the dress which was a Mango buy in late summer. It made me go back and look at other Mango dresses because they more or less failsafe – especially in the sale which started this week. That exact dress isn’t there any more but there are loads of alternatives with a good plus-size selection too. These are the wafty things that look so nice with chunky boots (mine are Fitflop – also a good ankle boot selection in the sale HERE although sizes are running short – take a look at the Mimie and the Helm) and a jumper thrown over the top or a big cardi. The good thing about these is that there are options – dress them up with high heels or high boots or dress them down. They’ll transition well to summer too because, as I say, wafty!

The first in this picture I am sorely tempted by – it’s a metallic print pleat with a decent v neck in sizes 6-14 reduced from £69.99 to £49.99 HERE. The second dress is a ditsy print in red on black in sizes 6-14 and it’s £25.99 HERE. It looks like the most comfortable thing ever – just slip on and go.

Mango dress

This is available in 16, 18 and 20 (other sizes have sold out) but I’m thinking both winter and spring for this – the blue has a kind of slate tone to it with a botanical print. It’s £39.99 reduced from £69.99 HERE.

Mango dress

A very similar style to the metallic dress above, just a bit looser at the waist which sits high I love the colour of this for those who don’t live in black (i.e. me!) – I’m drawing the line at white boots though 🙂 although it is available in black (yay!). It’s in sizes 6-14 and reduced to £29.99 from £59.99 HERE in a recycled material (polyester).

In plus, this geometric print is currently in 18 and 20 (there are so many different styles but I’m noticing that size availability isn’t quite as reliable as non-plus options) – what I love about this is the frill at the bottom that stops it just hanging uninterestingly. It’s £49.99 from £69.99 HERE.

And finally, the closest I can find to the original dress – it’s only available in a 6, 8 and 10 now but these do run big for size so if you are a 12 you may well be fine. It’s £29.99 from £59.99 HERE, again in recycled fabric.
