How often do I say you NEED this? Almost never… I try to give all the info on a product and then let you make your own, informed decision about whether it’s a must have or must miss and hate the idea of pressuring to buy. But please feel the pressure today!

I was introduced to 72 Hair by a friend while the brand was still at little sample pot stage – packaging wasn’t complete – and while I wrote about it back then, the hero product, the 72 Hair Replenishing Mask, has only just arrived in it’s smart new outfit.

In the meantime, I’ve used up the first sample pots and begged for more of them – and they’re all used up too. I’ve never been so happy to see a hair product arrive! In a nutshell, hydrolized keratin, collagen and Amino Acids put a shine on the driest of locks – and it’s mega watt shine as well. My daughter used it on her blonde (dry) hair and although it’s very hard to get blonde hair looking properly shiny, it definitely gleamed. People actually comment on how shiny my hair is when I’ve used it and that’s quite rare. So, while the shine is awesome, 72 Hair Replenishing Mask also softens the hair so that it behaves beautifully and feels light – once I’ve blow dried it, it’s salon swishy and has zero frizz. I’d say the effect lasts a full 3 days which is about right before I need to re-wash.

You do need to leave it on for 20 minutes which is the only draw-back (I’ve pared it down to a skimpy 10 when I have to but the full 20 really is better) but it’s 20 minutes of your time that’s very well worth spending. Honestly, I love it and will happily buy it for myself going forward. If you ever used or remember the Kerastase Age Recharge Mask, it’s like that, but way better. It’s great for all hair types and the only hair type I’d hesitate to recommend it for is thinning hair; the smoothing element won’t help your hair look voluminous unless you’re prepared to use volumizing products as well which I think could knock down the shine benefit.

It’s £24.99 for a large tub and you need to use (depending upon hair length) about a dessert spoon amount each time, so it will last for a while. It’s a huge, huge recommend and you can find it HERE.
