Yes, well, obviously I am hot off my surfboard after some awesome swell lines.. not. But, I am completely in love with the shampoo from the Tigi Totally Beachin range. I’ve been putting it through its paces all week (and the conditioner). It’s just got the most delicious smell and texture. It’s a bit more like a gel (in fact, it’s called a jelly shampoo) than a traditional shampoo and its scented very nicely with mango and tangerine which kinda what you want in summer months. The remit of the shampoo is to get rid of sweat (from the surfing maybe), salt water and sand but any decent shampoo would deal with that. That said, I did feel that my hair was extra clean after using it. TIGI has been on my mind for many reasons this week, so I’m definitely paying it more attention at the moment, and not least because they’re claiming to reduce damage by 99% with the included UV filters which if you are on the beach or catching a wave, would mean an end to those frazzled over sun drenched locks. The price is £11.95 for the shampoo, and £13.95 for the conditioner.

The conditioner is similarly scented, so very pleasant to use, and rinsed out perfectly well, leaving my hair soft and bouncy as promised. As far as the Beach Bound Protection Spray For Coloured Hair (£14.95) is concerned.. I haven’t tried it yet. But, it’s again scented with tangerine and mango, so it’s on my list of products to try when I’m going to straighten my hair because it protects hair from damage up to 230 degrees.

I’d normally never say change up your shampoo for summer, but there’s something about this limited edition range that really is so summery and vibrant that if you’re looking to try something new and want to channel the beach, I’d recommend it. I have a feeling that this won’t be available on line but instead in TIGI salons.
