This is an easy one! It works. John Frieda 10 Day Tamer just totally works so there really isn’t a great deal to say about it other than that. I used it on my fine but plentiful, bit dry at the ends, frizz prone hair, and I’m approaching the 10 day mark now having done 4 washes in that time using Aveda Pure Abundance (and Bumble & Bumble Sunday shampoo once) shampoo and conditioner.
To use John Frieda 10 Day Tamer, you simply put it in your dry hair (it’s thick and white with a perfectly pleasant, but generic, scent) for ten minutes then go off and wash and condition as normal. That’s it. As soon as I put the blow dryer to it, I could tell that my hair was behaving better, looked straighter and had little frizz. I’ve had several salon Keratin treatments (my goodness, it’s always a shock when they completely wear off and you suddenly remember how your hair really behaves with no intervention..I have been waking up with a bird’s nest) and I’d say that while the result is milder, it really replicates that sweet spot in the Keratin treatment timeline when your hair is not too flat and straight but before it starts to completely return to normal frizz and fuzziness. So, what I’m trying to say I think is flatter and straighter but with body.
I’m completely won over by this treatment – it’s a piece of cake and really is 10/10 for doing exactly what it says it will. I’ve found it on offer at Superdrug for £6.98 instead of usual price of £12.99 HERE.

Thanks so much for this post
Buying it tomorrow

Does it require blow drying to activate the product? I despise how my hair looks after a hair dryer has been near it but the menopause has left my once glossy locks, a frizzed up mess.
Yes that’s right.. I noticed a difference in smoothness after drying and less tangles in general.
I think I’ve been waiting for this my whole life! I also have to get keratin treatments x
Just to offer a different view I thought this was a terrible waste of money. Easy to apply, used three quarters of the bottle on my hair, leaving a quarter of a bottle i couldn’t use. Hair was slightly better after use. After one wash my hair was nearly back to its normal frizzy state and after the second wash there was no sign I’d ever used it. I was very optimistic it might be the answers to my hair woes, alas, it wasn’t 🙁
To add some balance, it may be that if your hair is in better condition than mine (bleached, dry and frizzy), you might get better results, your hair is probably nowhere near as rubbish as mine!
Oh… interesting. What I found is that you donn’t need to use as much as you think you do! I used too much first time round – this time around I used less and got the same result which is smoother and definitely less tangled hair. Not everything works for everyone but I was really impressed with this and I certainly noticed when it wore off.
Do you think it would work in conjunction with a keratin treatment? I don’t want to do anything that makes that go away quicker lol
If you’ve had Keratin, you probably don’t need this – I’m not sure it would affect the Keratin, but honestly don’t really know how that chemistry would work. This, obviously, will last longer for some people and less for others depending upon your hair type.
Sounds too good to be true – will have to try it out x
Looks great – Amazon has it for £6.48
The reviews on Boots and Amazon are very mixed, looks like it’s one of those products that works great for some people and not at all for others! I’m tempted to give it a try and hope it works for me.
which is why I’m glad I get comments like this – I have only myself to test on so it’s good to get views from across the board x
