[unpaid/sample/affiliate/prioradrelationship] REN has had several run away successes as a brand – the most obvious I think must be Evercalm which really does calm sensitive skin right down. I gave some to a friend a couple of years ago who was despairing at her skin which was red with inflamed patches. Within a few days, it had completely calmed down and she still uses it to this day. I always like to know of good results and more importantly proof! I can’t try everything myself and while I can make a good guess at how well a product will work based on its ingredients, it’s always great to see it in action. However, their other best seller is the Ready Steady Glow AHA Tonic that brightens the skin.
This set really would be my top pick for anyone with sensitive skin or dry and sore skin. Interestingly, this was tested by REN on both men and women so don’t rule anyone out! There’s a cream for day (Global Protection Day Cream) and one for night (Overnight Recovery Balm) in a vanity case made from recycled paper products that itself can be recycled, although they are incredibly durable so will last a long time. The inclusion of oils such as camellia oleifera seed oil (gorgeous, light on the skin but very hydrating), blackcurrant seed oil, sesame oil and mandarin oil along with shea butter and many other ingredients make these seem more powerful and potent than they look. This set is £56 instead of £80 (at the time of writing) HERE.
Again, do think of these as unisex products – the favourite Ready Steady Glow AHA is in several sets – the first with an eye cream, Brightening Dark Circle Eye Cream in the It’s All Glow set. It’s £43 instead of £57 at the time of writing HERE. Non-affiliate HERE.
If you have anyone to buy for that loves a glow tonic, you could supersize with this 500ml version – available at Look Fantastic for £29 instead of £39 HERE. AHA Tonic works by mildly exfoliating the skin (use it morning and evening after cleansing but before moisturising) using acids giving it a brighter and smoother appearance. REN uses lactic acid sourced from yeast fermentation and willow bark along with azelaic acid so it’s very thorough. It will work on anyone, any skin type (other than very sensitive) and it basically just a skin pepper-upper. Actually, there are lots of options that include this product.
REN has it in a snowy pine limited edition box for £35 HERE. Lots of my friends have said they’re be asked (mainly by their grown up children) for eco-friendly beauty this year – rest assured all of REN is fully recyclable, responsibly sourced and leaders in eco-conscious packaging and ingredients. You can read their packaging innovations HERE.
