[productsample] In a word – hilarious! I’ve never felt momentarily self-conscious on my own in my own bathroom before but that’s what looking at myself wearing an impossibly glamorous shower cap induced. I think any colour but gold wouldn’t have had that effect but I kept wanting to add sunglasses and a Sobranie Black Russian to the scene and a prayer that the butler wasn’t hiding in the wardrobe with a dagger.
I kind of love it now for its Kanye-meets-Poirot over the top-ness. So, how does it fare for it’s actual job – shower capping? I think if you have a lot of hair, it’s not for you. I found the fit snug – which of course, to be effective, it has to be – and without the capacity of the normal bag-on-head style. Of course it kept my hair dry in the shower and unlike plastic shower caps, I didn’t get the battering sound of the water – it’s a smoother experience, for sure, thanks to it’s lycra rather than plastic texture (there’s a plastic inner lining) and doesn’t leave you with an elastic band line across your forehead.
There you go – supply your own Sobranie! It’s £20 and a limited edition HERE.
