If you’ve been reading BBB a while you’ll know that I’m rarely – if ever – found without a tube of Lanolips somewhere about my person. It’s the first thing I put on my lips in the morning before walking the dog so it truly is in every day use. Lanolips has had a makeover recently, so it doesn’t look the same as it once did and I think Lano Allover is the repackaged and re-named version of Triple Buttermilk Body Balm. Certainly, what’s indicated on the packaging is triple Lanolin and a Milk Blend. So, to my eye, it’s not a new product but it’s still one of the most genius formulas for very dry skin because lanolin has a similar structure to human skin lipids so the two go together very compatibly.
Again, I thought this was a new product, but it seems to be Golden Ointment given a make-over, which seems good enough reason to mention it again. I think of this as a salve product for super-sore, chapped skin (gardening hands are good example) that is too sore for fancy hand creams or body lotions. It’s quite stiff in the tube (and therefore personally I would think of putting it in a tub with a little spoon) in cold weather as you can see from my squash marks above! But, I can’t argue that’s it’s not immediate relief for distressed skin. This one has quadruple levels of lanolin, along with manuka honey and Vitamin E.
What I hadn’t noticed when I posted about the repackage previously is that the whole brand seems to now be called Lano with Lanolips being the sub-brand lip version. Yet the website is still called Lanolips. *Throws hands in the air*. What a muddle.

I’ve been wanting to try Lanololips for a while, but it’s hard to find in the U.S. Love the repackaging. I’ve been using Elizabeth Arden 8 hour cream for most of my intense dryness issues.
Hi, just wanted to let you know, that you can now find it on Net-A-Porter! I just ordered a whole big bunch 🙂
