Hmm… I’m all for life hacks and sometimes they come along and cause an absolute stir, as in the case of this one which took Japan by storm.. but I don’t know whether I’ve got the patience for a hack that might take longer than a non-hack.
All you need is wet hair, a towel and a hair dryer. Put the dry towel over your wet hair and dry your hair through the towel with the dryer. Yes, really. Apparently, the heat from the dryer helps the towel to soak up more moisture, drying your hair more quickly as it does so. It’s also going to shield your hair from direct heat, which is good for anyone with brittle or fragile hair. I’ve been too wimpy to actually try it for fear of my hair looking crazily flat afterwards…. and for it to actually take twice as long. Or for my hair to go madly static .. or frizzy!
Would you give this Hair Drying Life Hack a go? Or have you? Bear in mind that it’s a Japanese-born hack which might be amazing for straight hair, but I’m not rating it for curls.

I have the straightest hair in the world so I’d certainly give it a go, nothing to lose really.
Not convinced but I’m always open to ideas 🙂

My daughter always complains when it gets zu blow drying – i’m sure she will give it a try!
I’m going to try it tonight!
Nope. No way. My hair is very, very fine. If I dried it through a towel, it would look afterwards as if…I’d dried it through a towel. I can’t let my hair get too dry before drying at a la salon or it just stays every which way. Nice idea, and oh how I wish I had the type of hair I could throw anything at it. But alas, good hair was thrown out of my gene pool!
ROFL, no way. It takes me 35 minutes (I have timed to I know) to dry my hair with a hair dryer. There is no way I will be tempted into spending 70 minutes to dry hair. Not unless it was for a huge sum of money (and we’re talking HUGE). 😀
that’s how I feel.. but it is supposed to speed it up.
Ah I misread, and thought I read it’s supposed to take longer. dehydration has gotten to my brain. Hmm, I have thick coarse hair. IF in a moment of madness I get tempted and try it, I will report back 🙂
I wonder how it would work combined with plopping for curly hair?
No it would take me twice as long surly lol.my hair is so thick Jane so takes ages anyway. And I’d prob set the towel on fire lol xxxx funny idea and it might work for some
