Things don’t get more British than Elderflower & Rhubarb Hand & Nail Cream from Meacher, Higgins & Thomas for Marks & Spencer under their Apothecary range. Looking like the English version of L’Occitane, right down the soft metallic tube (different quality though), if you crave that delicious fruity scent of rhubarb, you’re in the right place.
There’s definitely elderflower in the mix too, another stalwart of the British countryside – this is the first year in a long while that I haven’t made my own elderflower cordial. But, to my nose, it’s predominantly rhubarb, and very pretty it is too. You won’t get overwhelmed at the strength – it’s there in light quantities (and I keep forgetting I have it on and wondering why my hands smell of compote!) but does last nicely. At £4 it’s easily something that you can indulge in just for the heck of it and to experience the pleasure of it.
As a working handcream, it’s not the most hydrating I’ve ever come across, but it’s not bad either.. somewhere in the middle. It’s HERE.

I actually thought this was L’Occitane at first it sounds like it would smell really nice i think but then again im not a big fan of hand creams because the whole having to wait for it to sink in and having slimy hands is never good haha
