I think we have to use the term ‘rebalancing’ with caution here, because the L’Occitane Rebalancing Collection isn’t really the same as facial skin care with the same name – I associate rebalancing with problem skin that needs to be regulated and that isn’t really the case here. It’s one of those lines that really is about putting an extra effort into your body skin simply for the pleasure of it. L’Occitane Rebalancing Black Soap is a best seller already for it’s jelly like texture that leaves skin soft. It’s supposed to be extra cleansing but I’m not sure in comparison to what.
You’d use it a couple of times a week rather than daily. L’Occitane Rebalancing Collection is part of the Aromachologie range, so the power of aromatherapy comes in to play with a woosh of eucalyptus which is rather bracing!
I rather liked steeping the Rebalancing Bath Infusion in my bath – a blend of Camargue salt, citrus fruit peels and essential oils of cypruss, juniper, lemon, thyme and eucalyptus – and given that any blend that messes around with thyme and lemon can leave you smelling oven ready rather than deliciously pampered – it manages to be harmonious and lovely with an invigorating aroma.
I think the best buy from the L’Occitane Rebalancing Collection is the Rebalancing Shower Gel (much as I hate to watch my pennies disappear down the plug hole) because it has an exfoliating action that really did leave my skin feeling softer. Unlike many shower gels, this gives a proper blast of aromatherpy to shake you awake.
Prices start at around £14 for the shower gel HERE. All in all, the L’Occitane Rebalancing Collection is definitely worth exploring if you like to surround yourself with lively aromas while pampering your skin. It has a winterish feel to it, which is probably the time when you’re most likely to need a boost to the senses and some proper skin indulgences.
