[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] I wanted to flag up this product for two reasons – first, it’s supporting the Breast Cancer Research Foundation (BCRF), and second, the scent. Oh my – it’s like liquid Battenburg cake and it’s made me want to dash out and buy one.
I’ve noticed that many brands who traditionally support breast cancer charities in the month of October are extending their offerings – in this case til September next year or, I suppose, until they’re all gone. It’s a limited edition product and $5 from each sale goes to BCRF. I’m not sure if that $5 translates to £5 – it’s not clear – but the Estee Lauder Companies have raised millions over the years and do genuinely meaningful work in research. The hand cream itself (you really have to like the scent of almond.. luckily I do) is gorgeously rich – high in Andiroba Oil (a nut oil derived from the Amazonian tree) so it’s protecting, hydrating and the scent lasts for ages! It goes more cherry-ish as time goes on but the first blast is definitely all about the almond. The shampoo and conditioner versions of Cherry Almond are some of my absolute favourite hair products – I keep them as treats-to-self so slowly eke out over time but writing this post has reminded me that I must be due a treat! You can find the Handcream HERE for £24, non affiliate HERE.
