[unpaid/sample] Given that Original Source Shower gels cost around about the £1 mark (at Boots or almost any supermarket) they’re very, very good value for money and prove that treats don’t have to be expensive. It’s such a long time since I’ve used anything from this brand but lovely to have a reminder of the fun of it. We’ve been without a bath for three weeks because the tap broke (it’s now mended) so showers have been the only option and we have piled through the gels.
I’ve so enjoyed both of these – especially the Sweet Rhubarb and Raspberry, the labeling of which has distracted me every single time because all I see is Graspberry. It’s just sweet and fruity in a good way while Laid Back Lavender & Tea Tree is exactly that – a chilled out version of lavender with the slightly antiseptic kick of tea tree. Coming across this brand again after such a time has made me want to discover more although they’ve a habit of adding tea tree to nearly everything (why would you do that to lovely lemon?). The newer Water Infusions – Raspberry & Rose (not Grose), Pineapple & Lemon and Apple & Melon look delicious.
The brand uses natural fragrances, is vegan and the most impressive thing is their work with sustainable palm oil production. Palm oil is the planetary offence that somehow skirts our attention time and time again and is so widely used in both beauty and food. Original Source works with the Earthworm foundation to ensure their supply is monitored and verified as deforestation free. They use satellite and radar for this, as well as using local sources for independent monitoring. Original Source is owned by PZ Cussons. I’m so pleased to have come across it again and will give it all the respect I’d give a properly posh wash – maybe more.

When we get those hot, humid & sticky days the Mint & Tea Tree Original Source Shower Gel is heaven.
Though don’t use this one in the Winter as it’s brutal!
That sounds like a challenge!
