Loving these new fragrances exclusive to Harvey Nichols – full name Made in Italy Emotional Olfactive Landscapes, which just about sums it up really. I love Italy and have visited every year for the past six years – this year, I just don’t have time to go, so am taking a tiny bit of solace in the fact that I can at least have a little flavour of the country in the form of fragrance. There are five scents in the line up – each is named for region; Venice, Sicily, Rome, Sardinia and Cortina – and they’re created by Italian noses Marie Salamagne and Maurizion Corriza. Love the packaging, with a beautiful polaroid of each region, and love the fact that it’s a little bit different…no celebrity endorsements, no impossibly beautiful model shots, and no ‘face of’. They’re £78 each.

I expect Sardinia smells of burned shrubs. Lots of summer fires when I was there.
And Venice reputedly isn’t the olfactory delight one might hope for.
Hey, anything that isn’t Charlize Theron/Kidman/SJP has to be good – as you imply.
I don’t want to ape some maquillaged-to-the-gunwhales-celeb. This is much better.
They look good but are very expensive.
Sicily perfume is wonderful, the scent is just lovely. Noticed Harvey Nicks have now increased the price to £80. I refuse to wear other perfumes after having this as a present! I have been spoilt!
