[unpaid/affiliate/ad] So – this is a discovery! And, something I think you’ll really like because it’s different from your usual discovery sets. It’s an absolute genius idea – particularly at the moment when we need distractions and pleasures both at once. The idea is that it’s a ‘blind’ discovery set – you won’t know what you have until it’s revealed and therefore aren’t influenced by brand names, only by the perfume notes. There is one set a month focussing on a specific area – last month it was green scents, this month, it’s chypre.
The premise is that you join the Facebook #EscentualScents group (it’s private but you get entry when you have bought your first box with eight fragrance vials) and discuss and share thoughts with other members. On a certain date, there is a live reveal so you can discover exactly what it was, away from the marketing and PR, that floated your boat. Fragrance fans love to talk about perfumes so I can see hours just disappearing. I truly love this idea – it’s interactive, sociable, relatively affordable and just sounds like a whole lot of fun. I think the most recent box has just shipped but sign up for the following and it will appear on the first of the month. It’s £19.95 HERE (although they’re running a 20% full priced items, it’s not clear if that’s included). Non-affiliate HERE.

That is a great idea. Discover and explore new fragrance, no preconceptions, then join others in discussing them and discovering whether your view is consistent or different to others. So you can learn even more! Brilliant. Well done Escentual. Pity I’m not on Facebook. So I’ll pass on this one. Might still order the discovery sets though, providing they reveal what they are on their website!
Perhaps they do – I didn’t explore any further on that. I hope so 🙂
Yes, I saw this and thought it was a great idea too – worth noting that your Escentual loyalty points (aka Pretty Pennies) are credited with the set’s cost so it can be zero cost if you are likely to buy other products from the site 🙂
Yes I spotted that too – but hadn’t realised how they add up so thank you for the info xx
This is cool! Love the idea!
