[unpaid/sample/affiliate/ad] A new arrival from L’Occitane that’s quite different from their other fragrance offerings. It took me a while to get the cardamom in this fruity floral arrangement but once I did, I could tell how well it teams with the rose and pear.

L’Occitane Rose Poire EDT

There’s a warmth to this fragrance that settles the pear and wraps the rose and while it is described as ‘fresh’ that wouldn’t be my first way to describe it. Hidden amongst the rose is also eucalyptus that I can only just pull through but the nuance certainly livens up the floral notes.

L’Occitane Rose Poire EDT

I’ve noticed in the listed base notes an ingredient I’ve never seen before – sorbetolide. There’s very little about it on-line but it’s created by master note creators, Firmenich, and the one line I can find about it describes it as ‘hints of strawberries and musk’. Which sounds very pleasant indeed and I think we need a dedicated fragrance for this! If you like a twist on rose, this could be for you, although on me, I did not find the last to be particularly long. It’s £56 HERE. You may prefer to start your Rose Poire journey with the scent in gel at £14.50 HERE.
