[unpaid/sample/affiliate] If you’ve had it up to here with festive scented candles cover them with clingfilm or similar and store away for next year. I still have a couple of Jo Loves festive candles from two years ago that give a decent scent throw because I’ve clingfilmed and then put the lids back on. One is Plum Pudding and there’s really only one day a year I can have that one going.

Miller Harris Tea Candle Review

The Miller Harris Tea candle is really the perfect olfactory palate cleanser – distinctly tea but cut with citrus and green accents. To me, the tea note smells like black tea but I really am no expert on teas so I’m not surprised to find that it’s actually a blend of black tea, green tea and a splash of Earl Grey. There’s a bergamot note which is pleasant and fresh to cut through the earthiness and an undercurrent of birch tar which is sappy and green.

Miller Harris Tea Candle Review

I find the entire presentation soothing – I’m a fan of grey (grey hall, grey bedroom, grey loo and then Mr BBB put his foot down before the entire house got the Farrow & Ball Calluna or Fired Earth Plumbago treatment) and find it such a calming colour. I’m getting wafts of perfumed tea from the kitchen where the candle is burning into the room next door where I’m working and it’s completely lovely – a proper mood re-set. The candle is £50 HERE with a burn time of 50 hours.

While I’m here, Miller Harris has an amazing sale – lots of fragrances half price and in particular, look out for the Travel Fragrances priced at £9 each HERE including their Tea Tonique (also Peau Santal, Etui Noir and Secret Gardenia) fragrance that I wouldn’t even stop to think about before adding to bag. Also, their big, blocky soaps HERE are now £14 instead of £22 so if you have a gifts drawer you could probably fill it! I notice low stock on some items so if you’re keen, go now.
