I’m so surprised by that – maybe you need something that directly targets the T-Zone since that’s the area that’s acting up. It’s difficult to know – I don’t think it can be too strong as such but maybe there’s an ingredient in both that your skin doesn’t like.

I’ve been using body shop vit. C for more than a month with my combination skin and I notice that my T-zone area looks more oily and the pores are more noticeable.
Same with the edelweiss serum. Getting this small pimple every time I used it. Maybe too strong for my skin.
